:: Necessity to pay attention to urbanization model in Islamic-Iranian culture ::

The impact of western intellectual and cultural impact on Iran’s urbanization model

IUESA: Since immigrant societies became urbanized ones, urbanization was born. Primary cities did not have today’s complexity and function and they were built based on providing primary needs. Then, by expanding societies and forming larger ones, their structure changed.

In the shadow of changes in global arena and urbanization, our country has experienced much evolution as well. Iran’s capital is one of the most populated cities in the world.

However, there is a big difference between our metropolises and developed countries. Urbanization in western countries has had a specific pattern based on a certain attitude.

Many western buildings have been constructed as the world business centers such as twin towers New York. Thus, new metropolises have been emerged that they did not have other centrality.
