Economic advantages of holding Book Fair in Shahre Aftab/ emphasizing on smart services

IUESA: Referring to the 29th international Book Fair in Shahre Aftab, the secretary of international conference on urban economy said today, urban events has been changed into a part of urban identity, and even some cities could obtain universal credit by holding such events.

Referring to Seoul as one of the popular cities in holding international conferences and meetings, he said South Korea and Seoul have been linked into holding scientifically valid conferences and it has been changed into an international brand for this city.

Noting that international Book Fair and such similar events do not have only cultural and social aspect, but they also have economic aspect, particularly urban economy, he added hosting cities of such large scientific, artistic, and even political events can create economic opportunities in cites.

Saying that holding international fairs in down town and north of the city put heavy costs on the shoulder of city management and citizens, the official said according to the researches, more than 15 billion Rials are wasted for fuel cost in Tehran daily and this can increase air pollution as well.

Touching upon international conference on urban economy will be held in line with preparing the ground for implementation of resistance economy in urban economy, he further said we hope the results and achievement of this conference help city managers to gain urban sustainable development.
