80 percent of construction projects in normal condition

IUESA: The recent incident of burst and explosion of a gas pipeline in west of Tehran during a project could have heavy consequences for people and city management. Therefore, it is necessary to address the issue of safety in urban projects scientifically and comprehensively.   

Not long ago, an article entitled “safety management of Iran’s municipal construction projects; pathology and presenting strategy considering international standards” was presented at the first international conference on urban economy. The results of this research that has evaluated 20 projects in Tehran indicate that 80 percent of construction projects are in normal condition from perspective of safety.
