IUESA: IUESA held the panel of urban economy in the sidelines of the first world conference of mayors and councilors 2016. Dr. Seyyed Mohammadreza Nourani, faculty member of Allameh Tabatabaei University, Teymoor Hosseini, the head of traffic police in Tehran, Seyyed Mohsen Tabatabaei Mozdabadi, the secretary of IUESA and some other figures participated at this meeting.

At this panel, an article entitled “urban housing; a pillar of urban economy” was presented by Seyyed Reza Nakhli, Ph.D. student of economics at the university of Isfahan. He concluded that housing situation reached to the balance point considering supply and demand and there is no need to mass construction such as Mehr Housing.

The second article entitled “spatial analysis of urban poverty in Tehran Metropolis” was presented by Saman Vali Nouri, Ph.D. student of urban planning at Tehran Kharazmi University. He argued that poverty is a global concern facing with many developing countries. The origin of many urban disorders at all aspects including economic, social, cultural, and environmental is poverty.
