The president of IUESA said cities have widely economic capacities to boost production and employment, and it is necessary for urban managers to formulate the package of urban employment and production.
Regarding the potential and unapplied capacities in the economy of Iran’s cities, it seems that by 10% growth of urban entrepreneurship will result in 4 to 5 % increase of employment in cities and 7 to 8 percent increase in urban revenue on average, Seyyed Mohsen Tabatabaei, the secretary of Iran Urban Economics Scientific Association said.
Dr. Mohammad Hossein Pourzarandi, the president of IUESA and Champion of CPI-MC and Global Advocator said: the greatest ecological footprint is related to North American countries with 4.9 hectares for each person. If all countries want to have environmental standard of the U.S. cities, we may need three earth planets!
Explaining the strategic path of improving cities’ situation, Dr. Pourzarandi, the president of IUESA and advisor of CPI said “intelligence” and “resilience” are two key components of cities of tomorrow.
