The impact of air pollution on foreign tourists’ satisfaction

IUESA: today, tourism industry, as one of the revenue resources and creating job at different levels of the society, is so important in socio-economic development that economists refer to it as an invisible export. On the other hand, development of municipal services has different impacts and social, economic, and environmental consequences such as the role of these activities on tourism industry. Not long ago, the first international conference on urban economy was held and organized by IUESA. The resul of a research entitled “ the impact of municiapl services development on tourism industry in Iran” indicated that variables such as air pollution and traffic have negatively significant impact on attraction tourist so that one percent increase in the index of air pollution and traffic reduses 2.1 and 3.24 percent tourists’ satisfaction respectively.
